Enviro Group Challenges EPA Region 10 CAFO GP

Food and Water Watch has filed a petition for review with the 9th Cir. under CWA section 509(b)(1) challenging the issuance by Region 10 of a new CAFO GP for Idaho. See my May 13, 2020 Blogpost for a brief description of that permit. The petition, as usual, says next to nothing about the basis of the challenge. That will come when the opening brief is filed months down the road. The press release states that the group is using the Idaho challenge to achieve national goals, but does not state what the legal basis of the petition is. Stay tuned.

Here's a link to the group's press release, which contains a link to the petition. http://foodandwaterwatch.org/news/groups-sue-epa-unlawfully-using-clean-water-act-let-factory-farms-pollute-secretly
