EPA Approves the Florida 404 Program

Florida today became only the third state since the inception of the CWA to be approved to run its own 404 program. Michigan and N.J. have had the 404 program for years, but few other states have stepped forward to take over the work otherwise done by the Corps. It will be interesting to see if the approval is challenged in court as almost all Trump regulatory actions are these days or whether the incoming Biden administration will take a different tack on the state approval.
