Senate Action on WOTUS
The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee is holding a hearing on Wednesday, September 16 on the new WOUTS rule. The hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in 106 Dirksen and via webcast. As I have said many times, Congress needs to fix the WOTUS problem, and not leave it up to EPA and the Corps. If this is a first step toward that end, I applaud it. Hopefully, it will be more than just a show hearing.
The witnesses will be:
Ray Gaesser, owner and operator of Gaesser Farms.
Douglas Davis, president and CEO of Fletcher Davis Co.
Rebecca Roose, director of the Water Protection Division at the New Mexico Environment Department.
